ONE WITH NATURE: HOW SENIOR CORY JONES
IS MAKING AN IMPACT
In 2013, communication studies major Cory Jones co-founded a company, One With Nature (O.W.N.), with a vision “to inspire lives by preserving and improving the environment we live in.”

Bissy Sancimino credits her degree in Communication Studies with setting her off on her journey from working at Oracle America to a startup in Sydney, Australia.

COMMUNICATION STUDIES INTERNSHIP OPENED DOORS FOR JOURNALISM STUDENT
In fall 2008, journalism major Lindsay Zibach needed credit for an internship opportunity. Through the Communication Studies Cooperative Education Experience class, she got the credit she needed – and an experience that would change her life.
SUCCESSFUL 2015-16 FOR DEBATE TEAM
This year has been the Cal Poly Debate Team’s most successful year of competition in the British Parliamentary Debate format - the format used in the World Universities Debate Championship (WUDC) and the U.S. Universities Debate Championship (USUDC).
